Who operates the app
Sudoku Focus is operated by NEXTB LTD. This policy explains how the Android app and its Cloudflare-hosted services handle information.
Data kept on your device
The app stores settings, active puzzles, game history, statistics, favorites, technique progress, and reminder preferences locally. Android may also store purchase and consent state used by the app. You can remove local data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Optional Google account and cloud data
If you choose Google sign-in, Google sends a signed credential so we can verify your account. We store Google's account-specific subject identifier, a random public player name, an internal user ID, device identifiers created by this app, and app session records. We do not store your Google password, email address, or profile photo.
Cloud sync may store your settings, results, active game, technique events, daily competition attempts, leaderboard and ghost-race data. If you use a Google Play purchase, we may also store purchase verification records and the related entitlement.
Ads and consent
The app includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Where local law requires consent, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for it before any ad is requested, and nothing is requested if you decline. Every ad request is tagged for teen treatment, which turns off personalised ads and remarketing for everyone.
When ads run, Google may process your advertising identifier, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and your consent choices under its own policies. You can reopen the consent form at any time from Settings, under Privacy and ads, using Manage privacy choices.
Analytics and crash reporting
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features are used, and Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes. Between them these may collect crash stack traces, application-not-responding and performance data, a Firebase installation identifier, an app instance identifier, automatically collected events and session data, your advertising identifier, and an approximate location inferred from your IP address. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
If you decline, analytics does not stop — it continues without your identifiers. Nothing is tied to your advertising identifier, your Firebase installation identifier, or anything else that could single you out; we still see that a puzzle was finished, but not that you finished it. Until you have answered, and if you decline, every consent signal stays denied, so this is also what happens before the question is asked. Crash reporting runs regardless, because a crash report is what tells us the app has broken for you.
Why we use data
We use data only to provide saves and sync, secure sign-in, competitions, purchases, customer support, fraud prevention, reliability, and legal compliance. Cloudflare processes network requests and may process IP addresses and technical logs for delivery, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. We do not write IP addresses into the D1 account database.
Sharing and international processing
We use service providers including Cloudflare and Google. The Google services used here are Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics. They process data only for the services described above and may process it in countries where they operate. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and security
Cloud account data remains while your account is active. Deleting the account removes the user record and its linked identity, sessions, sync, competition, purchase, and entitlement records from D1. Short-lived provider and security logs may remain for their configured retention periods. We use encrypted HTTPS connections, signed tokens, rate limits, and access controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can play offline, decide whether to sign in, reopen the ad and analytics consent form from Settings under Privacy and ads, export your cloud data in the app, and delete your account in the app or on the account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and does not erase local data from devices that are offline.
